Citizen volunteers advising City Council on cycling issues

ErinoakKids Community Ride (5 km)

DATE:  Saturday, August 27, 2016 @ 10:00 am

MEET:  South Common Community Centre (Northwest Parking Lot) located at 2233 South Millway (map).

DESCRIPTION:  In the range of 4-5+ km (or less, if desired), this route is designed to be mainly off-road, all-paved, and suitable for all-ages and skill levels.  Children and their families, or any beginner riders, will enjoy this route to practice their riding skills and gain confidence!  The all-trail route includes a loop to reverse back to the Community Centre, and another optional loop (mainly trail) extends the ride a little further.  Riders may turn back at any point, or may wish to ride the entire route twice for ~11 km.

MARSHALLING:  MCAC and Community Ride volunteer marshals (in orange vests) will be all along the route to lead and assist families with directions, any crossings, riding on residential streets (in the optional loop), etc.

NOTE: The FREE Community Rides are a series of casual cycling tours in all corners of Mississauga from May until October. Led by citizen member volunteers of the Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee (MCAC), these group rides are an opportunity for residents to explore Mississauga on their bikes. The 2016 Community Rides series is sponsored by Toronto Pearson Airport.
